Lisa C. Johnson has
been appointed project manager for the Partnership for a Drug-Free
Community. Partnership was awarded a grant for Youth Substance
Abuse Prevention from the Law Enforcement/Traffic Safety Division of
the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA).
She is
responsible for providing environmental and policy developmental
strategies to reduce the use and availability of illicit substances
by the children and youth of Huntsville/Madison County and for
collecting data and evaluating the effectiveness of the
environmental and policy developmental strategies. The funds will
enable the Partnership to expand drug prevention and education
programs throughout the Huntsville/Madison County area. Johnson
joined the Partnership in October 2005. She received her BS in
Social Science from the University of Maryland and has received
numerous awards for outstanding volunteerism.
